The children in Year 4 have been learning about Remembrance day and writing poems about poppies. The children had some lovely ideas and created some wonderful pieces of work.

Year 6 made us all very proud last night when they performed at The Royal Albert Hall. The children worked very hard at learning a sequence of music as part of a massed ensemble and were also able to enjoy many other musicians from around the country.
Thanks to Rev Jonathan and Emma Dowman for leading our Christingle service this week. It was a wonderful occasion and lovely to see so many parents and carers joining us for worship. The service included a chance for the children to learn about each of the elements of the Christingle, readings from pupils, staff and parents and concluded with the lighting of the Christingles the children had brought in from home.
A Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Method Schools (SIAMS) was recently completed at our school. This Section 48 inspection covers four areas of focus; Leadership and Management, Collective Worship, religious education and distinctiveness and effectiveness as a Church school. I am delighted to share that our school was rated Outstanding for each of these area as well as receiving an overall grading of Outstanding. Myself and the board of Governors are proud that our school has been recognised in this way. The full report can be found here:
Well done to the pupils in years three, four, five and six who represented the school in the swimming gala held at Market Harborough pool. The squad did brilliantly with pupils competing in individual and relay events. Thank you to Miss Parker and Mrs Cooper for supporting the squad.
