Well done to the year four tag rugby team who took part in the tournament organised by Leicester Tigers and held at Market Harborough Rugby Club. This was the culmination of the series of coaching sessions the pupils from years three and four had been involved in this term. It was a pleasure to coach the team and see the progress the children have made as they won many matches against other local schools.
The pupils in year four have enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Royal Horticultural Society who are visiting the school this term. They have been busy in the school garden planting various seeds and considering the various elements that will help to make sure they grow well.
It was wonderful to see the six schools taking part in our annual Tag Rugby tournament this week. The competition was run in a league format ensuring that all involved had plenty of match time. A big thank you to Miss Parker for organising the whole tournament and to the year six Sports Leaders who helped to co-ordinate and referee the event.
Well done to the team of boys from year five and six who represented our school in football matches against Little Bowden Primary School, Kibworth Primary School and Fleckney Primary School. The team played well in some very exciting games and should be proud of their performances. Thanks to Fleckney for hosting the first fixtures of the season.
The pupils had a great trip to Warning Zone in Leicester. This is a regular part of our year six curriculum and covers a wide range of learning opportunities to do with dangers around us and keeping safe. This includes the new e-safety element which has been recently introduced at this superb facility.
Well done to the girls’ football team who took part in the competition held by St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School last week. The team played with great enthusiasm and growing in confidence through the different matches. Thank you to Miss Parker for coaching the team.
