Our year 4 class had a brilliant trip to Rock UK Adventure Centre in Northamptonshire. They all had a fantastic time (one commenting that it was even better than Centre Parcs!) and came back to school enthused and bursting with stories from all the activities that they completed. Updates and pictures have been shared on our twitter account @churchlangtonps for you to view.

We and Kingswood Primary Academy would like to send a huge thank you to all of the families who donated to their food bank appeal. We understand that food is not always easy to get hold of at the moment but the school and ourselves were completely overwhelmed by the generosity that was shown. Mrs C Barrington, Head of KPA, and Mrs Gates would like to give a special thank you and to say that the difference the food donated will make to the lives of the families receiving it is beyond words at this current time. The spark of human kindness clearly shines strongly at Church Langton.

As part of the Spark Festival, a celebration of the arts taking place in Leicester during February, we were delighted to welcome an IndoJazz band to perform to the children. The band introduced their different instruments and explained the role they play in creating the wonderful music performed to the audience. Instruments included some which the pupils can learn at school like drums and saxophone and other instruments that were new to them like the tabla. A big thank you to Mrs Pemberton, one of our art technicians for organising the performance and to Friends of Church Langton School who funded the experience for the pupils.
