Although we were unable to hold our service of Remembrance at St Peter’s Church as normal, I was very impressed with the way the pupils have engaged in our worship on this area over the past week. It was wonderful to have Mr Haigh play The Last Post and even better that eleven of our pupils played to their families and communities from home at the weekend. Thank you to Mrs Edwards for organising the wonderful pebble display and to Mrs Clarke for the Poppy Thank you to all who brought in decorated pebbles and to the donations of £33.50 which will go to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

This week year 6 took part in an exciting interactive maths challenge online. The children had to use reasoning skills to solve clues which unlocked different portals and allowed them to escape from their virtual captivity. The children had a great time and showed excellent logic and determination.
In our worship recently we have been thinking of all the support we receive from the wonderful team of clergy who support our school. Led by our School Chaplain, Rev Alison Booker, and involving Rev Jonathan Dowman who is one of our school governors, we are very lucky to have such a great team who are involved in worship and so much more to support our staff, pupils and school community.
Well done to the winners from each class of our annual Spelling Bee. Great to share their achievements in worship today.
Congratulations to Emily in year 2, Henry in year 4 and Jacob in year 6 who won the key stage competitions.
