After last year’s success, the Kibworth Parish Councils are pleased to announce that this free event is back. We’re getting the whole community physically active again on Sunday 23rd May at Warwick Park, 9am-3pm. Funded by both Kibworth Beauchamp and Kibworth Harcourt Parish Councils, and run by Fiesta Sports Coaching, this year we are also working in collaboration with the Kibworth Scouts. We have events for a wide range of ages (both children and adults). You can book online at www.fiestasportscoaching.co.uk to ensure you get a place as it’s first come, first served. This promises to be another fantastic day – we just need the sun to keep shining!

We are keen to support parents in providing healthy lunchboxes for pupils. We utilise the resources provided by Veg Power and as part of Veg Power’s on-going mission to encourage the UK to eat more veg, they would like to make it easier for parents and carers to add more veg to children’s lunchboxes. Recent research from Leeds University found that only one in five children had any vegetables or salad in their packed lunch.
To support parents, Veg Power has developed a ’60 Second Lunchbox Hacks’ PDF which can be downloaded here.

We are delighted to be welcoming Leicester Tigers coaches to provide tag rugby sessions for all key stage two classes this term. The sessions have always been a highlight for years three and four so we were pleased to be able to add in the older two classes this term as well.
We have been marking Francophonie week with a special focus in our Collective Worship. Pupils from across the school have been creating wonderful presentations on French speaking countries, using both their Microsoft accounts and hand written posters. The whole school also took part in a quiz about Francophone countries, looking at capital cities, flags and locations.
Reception have been delighted to welcome two new arrivals to the class over the past few weeks. Having counted down the days until they were due to hatch and learning all about how to care for ducklings, they were thrilled to meet Rocket and Star! They have enjoyed seeing them grow and learning, including a very exciting swimming lesson. Thank you to the family in our school community who have supported this wonderful experience for our pupils.
