Our service of Remembrance at St Peter’s Church was led by Rev. Janet with the pupils joined by parents and governors. The children heard all about the meaning of the poppy and were led in prayer by year six. The singing of the Taize chant ‘Jesus Remember Me’ was a particularly special moment and it was great to see the school community come together for this very special Church service.
Well done to the boys and girls who represented the school in the Remembrance Football Tournament at St Cuthbert’s Great Glen. The children had an excellent afternoon finishing runners-up in the tournament with some super performances. Thank you to Mr Williams for coaching the team and to Friends of Church Langton for the new shirts which were worn for the first time.
Well done to the boys who represented the school in the first round of matches in the football league. The boys played well in drawing one match and losing the other. Thank you to Mr Baylis for coaching the team.
A big thank you to Friends of Church Langton for the new kit which was worn by the team for the first time.
Year 1 and 2 enjoyed solving maths problem to rescue a “prince in distress.” Using all their skills they programmed robots, cracked codes, crawled through tunnels, solved sequences and tackled maths problems to build jigsaws. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed working as a team to save the day.
Please feel free to join us at Church for communion.
Parents and carers are welcome to join us for the science fair where the children will share everything they have been learning during science week.
Year 1, 2 and 3 visit to the cinema to watch Finding Dory.
