The children had a busy day taking part in lessons and activities to mark world book day. A big thank you for all the costumes the children wore on the day, they enjoyed the chance to show them off in our assembly. The children also enjoyed hearing a story read by different teachers around the building and the book swap at the end of the day gave the children plenty of new stories to enjoy.

We are very pleased to have been awarded the Intermediate level for the International School Award. This is recognition of our commitment to embedding an international and dimension to our curriculum and whole-school ethos. Mrs Edwards has been leading the development of this area of our school, creating excellent learning opportunities and developing our learning relationships both locally and globally.

We enjoyed welcoming Father Felix to lead our worship to mark Ash Wednesday. The children reflected on the reasons behind Shrove Tuesday and then shared what they have decided to do to mark Lent. All of the school were then invited to have a cross marked in ash on their foreheads and before joining together in song and prayer.
