Our eco – club meet each Wednesday and this week they had a great time looking at energy usage in our school. The club is run by Year Six teacher Mrs Bladon and one of our parent governors, Mrs Hastings. The children were given the chance to use a thermal imaging camera to look at which areas of our school are the best and worst at retaining heat. Hannah Moss, from the SCORE intiative that the school are working on, provided the equipment and led the children in discussion about how to conserve heat. The children from years 3,4,5 and 6 found there was a big difference between the older and newer parts of the school, the photo shows how the office windows might be the worst offender.
