At Church Langton we are keen to provide opportunities for the children to explore prayer. Recently this has included special services and acts of worship both in school and at Church as well as a prayer week which is held in the summer term.
The whole school enjoyed the opportunity to engage in prayer activities organised by Rev Janet and members of the congregation from St Peter’s Church. The theme for our day of prayer was ‘Remembering’ with the children considering this in four different prayer stations. They created their own Jesse Tree, made poppies to remember those who lost their lives in war, remembered the importance of communion and studied the saints. The children particularly enjoyed searching to see if they share a name with a saint.
It was great to see the children enjoying exploring the prayer stations, thanks to Rev Janet and all the volunteers who helped to make it such a special day.
